Service Description
Set in the beautiful countryside beneath the Cairngorm Mountains, the Nature, Nurture & Hooves is a gentle, fun, and supportive mindfulness experience designed especially for young people. This day gives them the chance to slow down, step away from screens and busy schedules, and reconnect with nature in a safe and nurturing environment. Through guided woodland walks, sensory games, and simple breathing exercises, children are encouraged to notice how their bodies feel, calm their minds, and enjoy being present in the moment. Time spent with our kind, quiet horses helps children build confidence, empathy, and emotional awareness as they learn to observe, listen, and connect gently and respectfully. No riding is involved — the focus is on calm interaction, curiosity, and shared stillness. The day is carefully paced to suit young participants, with plenty of opportunities for creative play, reflection, and rest. Children leave feeling relaxed, happier, and more confident, carrying with them simple tools they can use at home or at school to manage emotions, reduce worry, and feel more settled and connected. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice Period: - If you are unable to attend, please provide at least 1 week’s notice. This allows us time to re-advertise your spot. For recurring retreats, if you prefer to reschedule rather than cancel, we will be happy to accommodate an alternative date that aligns with your schedule. Organiser Cancellations: - If the organisers cancel a retreat, you will be notified as soon as possible, and a full refund will be issued within 48 hours of notification. Refunds: - If you provide at least 1 week’s notice and we can fill your spot, you will receive a full refund of the balance paid. Our retreats include a 25% non-refundable deposit. If you cancel and we are unable to fill your space, any additional balances (minus the deposit) will be refunded within 48 hours of confirming your bank details. A £25 administrative fee will apply to the processing of cancellations and related refunds. Emergency Exceptions: - We understand that emergencies can happen. If you believe your situation qualifies as an emergency, please get in touch with us at scotlandsequestrianretreat@gmail.com to discuss potential exceptions.
