Service Description
Families of up to 6 persons. Set in the peaceful landscape beneath the Cairngorm Mountains, the Family Nature & Mindfulness Day offers families a chance to step away from everyday pressures and spend meaningful, restorative time together. Designed for parents, carers, and children of all ages, this gentle day invites families to slow down, reconnect with nature, and strengthen their bonds in a calm and supportive environment. Families take part in guided woodland walks, simple mindfulness activities, and playful breathing exercises that are easy to enjoy together. These shared experiences encourage communication, emotional awareness, and presence, helping both adults and children feel more relaxed and connected. Time spent with our calm, friendly horses provides a unique opportunity for families to explore trust, empathy, and cooperation through gentle observation and interaction. No riding is involved; the focus is on calm connection, curiosity, and shared moments. The day is thoughtfully paced, allowing space for reflection, creativity, and rest, with activities adaptable to different ages and needs. Families leave feeling refreshed, closer, and more grounded, taking home practical tools they can use in daily life to manage stress, support emotional wellbeing, and enjoy more mindful moments together.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice Period: - If you are unable to attend, please provide at least 1 week’s notice. This allows us time to re-advertise your spot. For recurring retreats, if you prefer to reschedule rather than cancel, we will be happy to accommodate an alternative date that aligns with your schedule. Organiser Cancellations: - If the organisers cancel a retreat, you will be notified as soon as possible, and a full refund will be issued within 48 hours of notification. Refunds: - If you provide at least 1 week’s notice and we can fill your spot, you will receive a full refund of the balance paid. Our retreats include a 25% non-refundable deposit. If you cancel and we are unable to fill your space, any additional balances (minus the deposit) will be refunded within 48 hours of confirming your bank details. A £25 administrative fee will apply to the processing of cancellations and related refunds. Emergency Exceptions: - We understand that emergencies can happen. If you believe your situation qualifies as an emergency, please get in touch with us at scotlandsequestrianretreat@gmail.com to discuss potential exceptions. Procedure for Cancellation: - To cancel your booking, please email scotlandsequestrianretreat@gmail.com.
